Data Protection

In order to present an attractive website and to enable the use of certain functions we use on various pages so-called cookies. These are small text files which are placed on the machine you are using. Some of the cookies we use will be deleted when you close your browser session, i.e. when you close your internet session (so-called session cookies). You can adjust your browser settings to inform you when cookies are placed and you can accept cookies for certain cases or exclude them generally. Not accepting cookies can however lead to the functioning of our website being limited.

You can reach our data protection officer at: datenschutz@wohlfahrt.com.

The Use of Facebook and Google+ Plugins

Our website uses so called social plugins („Plugins”) of the following social networks: Facebook and Google+. These services are offered by Facebook Inc. and Google Inc. („Providers”). Facebook is run by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). Google+ is run by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA („Google”). Information on the Plugins and what they looked like can be found at: http://developers.facebook.com/plugins and https://developers.google.com/+/plugins

If you access a page on our website which contains such a Plugin, then your browser will activate a direct connection to the Google or Facebook server. The content of the Plugin will be sent directly from each provider to your browser and placed on the page. By integrating the plugin the provider is informed that your browser has accessed a specific page on our website even if you don’t have a profile with the social network in question or are not logged in at the time. This information (including your IP address) is sent directly from your browser to the server of the provider in question in the USA and is saved there.

If you log into one of these social networks then the provider is able to assign your visit to our website to your profile by Facebook or Google+. If you interact with the Plugins, for example by using the “like” button or the “+1” button then the information will also be sent straight to one of the provider’s servers and saved there. The information will also be published in the social network and shared with your contacts.

Please refer to the provider to obtain information on why the provider collects the data and to what extent, as well as how it is processed and used by the provider and also your rights concerning this and what possibilities you have to adjust the options in order to protect your personal privacy.

If you do not want Google, Twitter, Pinterest or Facebook to directly assign the data collected on our website to your profile in their social network then you must make sure you have logged out of the network(s) in question before you visit our website. You can also completely prevent Plugins being downloaded onto your machine by using Add-Ons for your browser, for example the script blocker “NoScript” (http://noscript.net/).

Online Security

The content of our internet pages is protected by various security measures provided by the host provider on whose server the data is stored. The data provided by www.christmasmuseum.com is protected against accidental or willful manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Käthe Wohlfahrt does not warrant that the security measures will function without interruption and error free as they are the technical and administrative responsibility of the host provider.
