Current information on COVID-19
Based on the 14th Bavarian Ordinance on Measures for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases,
valid from September 2, 2021 to October 1, 2021.
Hygiene and distance
Please note the obligation to wear a medical mask inside our rooms. Children under 6 years of age are exempt from this requirement. Pay attention to necessary hygiene such as regular handwashing and keep sufficient distance to other visitors. Persons showing symptoms of illness or who have had contact with COVID-19 sufferers in the past 14 days are prohibited from entering the museum.
3 G – Regulation
If the incidence 35 in the district of Ansbach is exceeded three days in a row, the 3 G – regulation takes effect on the day after next. The daily updated incidences can be found on the website of the Robert Koch Institute or the website of the district of Ansbach.
In order to visit the museum one of the following proofs must be shown to the museum staff:
- Proof of a complete vaccination: Vaccination is considered complete 14 days after the second dose (or after a single dose from Johnson & Johnson).
- Recovery: Proof of recovery must not be older than 6 months.
- Presentation of a negative test result: POC test not older than 24 hours or PCR test not older than 48 hours.
The possibility for a test exists in the multipurpose hall Rothenburg by appointment. Register here for your test appointment.
Children under 6 years of age are exempt from this rule. For school children, whose school is run according to German law with regular Covid-19 tests in school, the student ID is sufficient as proof of testing.
For further restrictions as caseloads increase, the hospital amputee level will be used as a benchmark beginning Sept. 2, 2021.
At level yellow or red, more comprehensive measures will be taken.

You are welcome to download and fill in the contact form here ubefore your visit. Your data will be destroyed after the legally required retention period.
